Fact sheet | Biomarkers of human brain deregulation

Australia and the US Defense agency, Combating Terrorism Technical Support office, is jointly funding a research project looking at the biomarkers of traumatic stress in the human brain. 

This research is developing a novel tool to objectively evaluate and monitor how brain chemistry changes under traumatic stress, blast injury, physical impact and chronic pain, using Magnetic Resonance Spectroscopy (MRS).
